Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District Dr Ajibola Basiru has condemned the reported violence early Monday in Osogbo, the State capital.
Senator Basiru,in a statement,said Osun people do not deserve violence this time around having been used to tranquility for a long time.
“Spilling of blood and destruction of property should not be the flagship of the incumbent administration. Osun has for long been known for peace and we cannot afford to throw that away.”
It is imperative to state that security is imperative in every society and no responsible administration should condone act of brigandage and organised violence under any pretext.
“I use this medium to call on security agencies through the Inspector General of Police and the National Security Adviser to maintain law and order and save people from further physical and psychological torment.”
